Spring has finally sprung, meaning now’s the time to address the toll winter has taken on your skin. The combination of cold air and dry indoor heat has likely depleted your skin of its moisture and hydration, promoting a dull, lackluster complexion — nobody wants that! To fully renew your skin, an effective skin care regimen consisting of exfoliation and hydration is key. This is where the CNY Beauty Team comes in, offering professional-grade chemical peels to help you achieve vibrant, younger-looking skin with minimal to no downtime.
Chemical peels can improve a wide range of skin conditions, including:
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Uneven skin tone
- Dullness
- Rough skin texture
- Pigmentation problems
- And more
If any of these skin concerns apply to you, you’re in the right place. Our expert aestheticians will help you choose the optimal chemical peel for your needs during your personal consultation. Here’s a closer look at the ins and outs of peeling away winter skin with this easy and effective treatment:
Which chemical peels do you offer?
CNY Cosmetic & Reconstructive Surgery proudly offers professional-grade peels by SkinCeuticals®, a science-based product line dedicated to the prevention, protection and correction of sun damage and its consequences, including the many signs of aging. Our SkinCeuticals peels include MicroPeel Sensitive Skin Solution, MicroPeel 20, MicroPeel Plus 20, MicroPeel 30 and MicroPeel Plus 30. Depending on your skin concerns and lifestyle, our team of experts will find the most suitable peel for you.
We now also offer the BioRePeelCL3 chemical peel, a new breakthrough peel technology. Recently launched and developed in Italy, BioRePeel3 is a chemical peel series performed weekly over the span of one month to provide deep peel results with no irritation and little to no peeling and social downtime. Utilize this new peel before a big event and to achieve brighter, firmer skin with improvements to scarring, texture and sun damage.
How does a chemical peel work?
Chemical peels use a chemical solution to remove the top layers of your skin and reveal smoother, more youthful skin underneath. Our peels are formulated with varying intensities and therefore work to improve varying skin concerns. Let’s start with our mildest peel, MicroPeel Sensitive. This peel works well on sensitive skin to decongest pores and hydrate skin with a combination of mild exfoliators, including niacin and lactic acid. If fine lines, wrinkles and dull skin are your main concerns, MicroPeels 20 and 30 use a concentration of glycolic acid to target these conditions and refresh skin for a years-younger look. Or, if you have more tolerant skin, you may want to go with MicroPeels Plus 20 and 30. These peels use a stronger acid (salicylic acid) to not only improve fine lines, wrinkles and dullness, but also laxity, skin tone and more. Depending on the intensity of your peel, you may experience anywhere from temporary pinkness to your skin, to a week of redness, flaking and peeling as healthy new skin regenerates.
How can I maintain my results?
Since we often recommend a series of peels to see optimal results, you may want some extra skin care help along the way. To prep and maintain results between chemical peels, we offer SkinCeuticals Post-Chemical Peel System. Rich in antioxidants, this homecare regimen helps facilitate continuous exfoliation between your peel treatments while providing advanced environmental protection. What a better way to keep your skin looking smooth and bright!
