When you wake up feeling refreshed, you also want to look refreshed. Even with a good night’s rest, under eye bags can make you look tired or appear older than you are. As we age, tissues around our eyes gradually weaken and sag. This loss of skin tone makes our lower eyelids look puffy and swollen. Under eye bags can even cast shadows, or dark circles, creating another bothersome cosmetic concern.
While certain home remedies can help lessen the appearance of under eye bags, at CNY Cosmetic & Reconstructive Surgery, we offer effective eyelid rejuvenation solutions, including eyelid surgery, to brighten and refresh the appearance of your entire face.
To find out if eyelid surgery, or blepharoplasty, is right for you, request a consultation online today to meet with one of our board-certified plastic surgeons, Dr. Anthony Deboni or Dr. Gregory Baum.
In the meantime, let’s look at the several ways we can help you refresh your under eyes:
Eyelid surgery
Drs. Baum and Deboni are experienced and rigorously trained in modern aesthetic surgery techniques to provide natural-looking results for refreshed, younger-looking eyes through blepharoplasty. Most commonly performed on adults ages 30 to 65, eyelid surgery can improve the surrounding area of the eyes by lifting droopy, saggy upper eyelids, smoothing out crow’s feet and resolving under eye bags or puffiness.
Botox® or fillers
Younger patients may be able to delay or avoid eyelid surgery altogether through preventative Botox or dermal filler treatments. While Botox cannot treat under eye bags or dark circles, it can smooth crow’s feet around the eyes to give you a more youthful appearance. Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers, on the other hand, are a great option for rejuvenating the under-eye area. By restoring lost volume to under eye hollows, fillers can improve the appearance of tired-looking eyes.
During your personal consultation, Dr. Deboni or Dr. Baum will discuss your cosmetic goals with you to determine the most effective treatment plan for treating your under eye bags. Call (315) 545-5452 or request a consultation online today.
