What happens during a BBL photofacial/BBL HERO photofacial?

This non-invasive treatment stimulates your skin with intense pulses of light to correct dark spots and other pigmentation concerns, diminish redness/rosacea, reduce broken capillaries and other small veins and brighten dullness. You will relax while we apply a clear gel over your treatment areas. This gel helps your skin absorb the light energy. We will then apply the BBL wand to your skin, gradually working our way around every inch of skin you are treating.

Is BBL photofacial painful?

While topical anesthetic is always an option, most patients experience minimal discomfort without it. During this well-tolerated treatment, as the light targets your skin, you may feel a sensation that resembles the feeling of a rubber band snapping against your skin. This sensation is quickly fleeting, lasting only as long as the light is hitting your skin, and subsides immediately.

What’s the difference between a BBL photofacial and BBL HERO photofacial?

BBL and BBL HERO feature the same amazing photofacial technology. The BBL HERO is simply more powerful and efficient, capable of treating large areas of the body within minutes. Both treatments are highly effective, and we will help you determine which treatment best suits your skin’s needs.

How does a photofacial work?

These gentle treatments effectively rejuvenate the skin without impacting its surface, so you won’t need to wear ointment after your BBL/IPL sessions. However, we do recommend that you wear sunscreen to protect your results!
The high-energy light improves your skin in two ways:

• It is absorbed by highly pigmented areas such as the blood in visible blood vessels or the melanin in sunspots and breaks the pigment down so that it is absorbed by the body.
• Its heat stimulates collagen production, which restores volume under the skin. The added collagen softens fine lines and wrinkles and gives treated areas a youthful fullness.

When will I see results after my photofacial?

Depending on your targeted concerns, you can expect to see improvements within a few days following your session, with optimal results a week or two following. The amazing benefit of photofacials is that they stimulate your skin’s natural healing response and generate new collagen and elastin growth, so your benefits will continue to build in the weeks and months following your sessions.

How many photofacials do I need?

For your best results, we recommend a series of four to six treatments spaced approximately three weeks apart. Once you have reached your goals, we recommend periodic maintenance treatments to keep your glow going strong!

How long is a BBL photofacial?

Photofacial treatments are performed during a simple office visit and are usually complete in about 30 minutes, depending on the size and number of areas being treated.

Can I combine photofacials with other treatments?
